Metro Knights News:

Will The Offense Continue?
Last Updated: 6/30/2013 1:00:00 PM

In the last seven games the Knight's offense had only managed 15 runs.  On Sunday it only took 8 innings for them to match that count.  Rick Caldecott started on the mound and went 5 solid innings only allowing 1 earned run.  More importantly, he went 5 for 6 at the plate with a double and 3 RBI.  Steve Thompson and Shawn Rasmussen would also collect 3 hits.  Thompson with 2 RBI and Rasmussen with his first double of the year.  Frank Matteson also showed signs of life sending a curveball in the first inning over the center field fence and into the stands.  Team GM, Ryan Meehan, would also show some life collecting 2 hits and 2 RBI.  The team would put together 17 hits by the end of the day in a long overdue power burst.  Can they keep it going into Tuesday's league game against Tri-City?  The Shark won the previous match up 3-1.
