Metro Knights News:

Knights survive Shark Attack and Justus Is Served.
Last Updated: 7/2/2013 6:30:00 PM

After collecting 15 runs on 17 hits in their previous game, the Knights, hoping to continue the run production, traveled to Irondale to take on the first place Tri-City Shark.  Danny Thering got the start on the mound and went 4 solid innings despite some hiccups from the defense around him.
First out of the pen in relief was Chris Trobec who would then go an inning and a half of work on short rest.  Trobec would be in command but would leave when a batter reached from an error and the next batter reached when being hit with a curveball on a bunt attempt.  Enter Colton Smit.

Colton would come in with one out in the 6th and runners on second and third.  Throwing possibly harder than he has all season, Colton would retire the next 2 batters keeping the game tied at 4 a piece.  In the end he would walk away not giving up a run and earning the victory.

There was a lot of clutch hitting during the game, something that has been missing a lot lately.  Justus Nelson provided a lot of offense for the Knights going 2 for 3 with multiple RBI.  It was a game that saw multiple lead changes and provided a great amount of entertainment until the end.  Thankfully, the Knights would persevere and get the win moving them to 5-3 in the Skyline league and moving them into second place.
