The 4th seed Metro Knights look to take on the 9th seed St. Paul Mudhens Saturday, July 27th at 1:00pm at their home field in White Bear Township in the first round of the Skyline playoffs.

Storms bring the rain, Knights bring the Thunder

It was a cold, wet, and dark day that looked to inevitably end without a baseball game being played. Thankfully the baseball gods showed mercy after a 2 hour rain delay and the game would be played.

The story would be the Knights offense exploding out of the gate with 6 runs and never looking back. The game would be shortened to 7 innings, 6 for the offense, due to the 10 run rule. Knights win 15-2 and take game 1 and look to complete the season sweep Sunday at 3:00pm in Saint Paul. The win would send the Knights into the second round of the playoffs where they would be fighting for a spot in the state tournament.
