The 2-1 Knights take on the Bloomington Bandits, in Bloomington, Sunday night for Mother's day. All Mothers will be given free enterance to the park, front row seats, and will be serenaded by Knight's players Steve Thompson and Chris Trobec to a tune of their choosing. Knights Trivia alert: on weekends Steve and Chris play in a band who once had moderate success with their early 2000s hit "Take the edge off".
Bandits Hit and Walk Way to Victory
The Bloomington Bandits hit the crap out of the ball. When they didn't, they walked to first with a lot of style. Credit goes to their hitters for being patient and jumping on pitches they knew were coming because the Knights pitching was so often way behind in the count. There were still positives though. The Knights put themselves in scoring position in most innings and hit the ball relatively well. The Bandits played solid defense turning multiple double plays and committing no errors. They had numerous great plays in the outfield taking away hits and also turned a clutch double play with the bases loaded early in the game to maintain the lead. Next game is Monday against Anoka at White Bear Township - Polar Lakes Park.
