Knights Patience Leads to Comeback Victory
On a hot night in front of a few hundred people in Osceola, the Knights seemed to be asleep through the first 5 innings falling behind 4-0 early. But patience at the plate would pay off in the 6th when the first 3 Knights would reach base on hits followed by 3 more hits and 6 runs in the inning. The team would take a 6-4 lead and wouldn't look back. Matteson would cruise to his 4th victory on the season going the distance for the complete game victory and allowing only one walk in his 9 innings. Dan Piilola would come through once again with big plays in the field and at the plate. He would go 2-3 with a double, a walk, a hit by pitch, and 2 RBIs.
