Today is the Home Opener for the Knights 2012 season. After defeating the Spring Valley Hawks in a tough extra inning game, the Knights hope to continue their success against the Rum River Bandits. The Knights faced the Bandits in 2011 and came away with a 12-2 victory that included 15 hits for their offense and gave Doug Hoffman his first victory on the year.

Hoffman will be once again be getting the start on the mound. First pitch at 7:35.

The Knights moved to 2-0 on the season defeating the Rum River Bandits in a high scoring game that was filled with great hitting and shaking fielding.

After providing the Bandits with a 5 run first inning lead behind 2 errors the Knights would go on to score 13 runs in the game on 12 hits. In the team's first 2 games they have produced 24 runs on 25 hits while hitting .309 as a team with a .430 on-base percentage. Another big game for veterans Toby Kaplan, Dan Piilola, Brett Schlosser along with new players Christian Zellner and Cory Hazard.
